America Recovers Most Powerful Supercomputer Record With New Monster Summit

Until a while ago, China's supercomputer record was again broken by the United States. The Summit-named supercomputer in the size of two tennis courts draws more than 9,000 of the 22-core IBM Power9 processors and more than 27,000 of the NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs. To cool the system, the device needs 4,000 gallons of water per minute. The energy that Summit spends in minutes is enough for 8,100 homes.Summit is designed specifically for artificial intelligence projects, with China breaking the record.
