SCRATCH WHAT?

language.Scratch is a graphic programming language. Anyone who starts to learn to read and write can easily learn Scratch.

With Scratch, children will learn to use technology more fluently and create with technology. Most of the multi-media tools used by children are already done by others and come in front of children as a package. Children only consume multi-media products.

Scratch allows children to make their own multi-media designs, to create creative solutions using technology in the face of real-life problems they face, and to win 21st century skills by expressing themselves in different ways.
To write a computer program with Scratch, the codes must be stacked in blocks and stacked side by side. It is very easy to learn programming with Scratch thanks to the Check-and-Drop feature.

With Scracth, we can bring together various media tools like picture, sound, music, design our own animations, design our computer games or tell interactive stories.

Scratch

Low-level: Easy to start.

Wide wall: Wide variety of projects can be made.

With high ceilings: Complex projects can be made with simple information.

Scratch has an advanced and easy-to-use interface. Scratch interface consists of 3 main divisions.

1. In the Block Palette, there are blocks that are used to program characters.

2. The coding field is where we wrote the computer program. We write our schedule by pulling blocks off here.

3. The project screen is our stage. Everything we design comes to life in Scratch's scene.

With Scratch we can learn important computational and mathematical concepts. When designing their own computer games, children are introduced to concepts like Repeat, Random Numbers and Sequences. Children can create variables when designing their own computer games and use these variables in the program.

With Scratch, children learn these concepts as motive in a meaningful whole. In a math class, a child who has difficulty in understanding what variables are, learns more easily what variables are when designing his own computer game.

Scratch also improves children's design skills. The child who leads from an idea creates a draft and solves the problems it confronts, making this draft a project. Scratch provides a discipline for children to work decisively on their projects as children develop logical thinking, bug detection and cleansing skills.

Also the Scratch scene is a coordinate plane at the same time. All our animations and computer games are designed on this coordinate plane. The cat with the Scratch character is at the point (0,0) when the program is opened. Above the screen we can see the x and y values of our characters.

Scratch changes all of these by taking advantage of the strength of the computers and the development of the interfaces, and the computer program delivers its skill and knowledge to very large masses, especially children. It's much easier to write the same program with Scratch instead of JAVA.
